The SETT: Submarine Escape Training Tank
On Saturday 22nd October 12 members of SCSSAC had the opportunity to dive this facility organised by Brian. The tank is primarily used by the Royal Navy to train submariners how to escape from stricken submarines. The facility is a great opportunity to dive in clear, warm (body temperature) water. It is a surreal slightly Sci Fi experience and an opportunity for the less experienced to dive deeper in controlled conditions
Looking down to the lower airlocks, note the umbilical for the wet bell.
